Don't Let Riverside Burn!

🔥Neighbors of the Wood Streets is inviting you to attend this City Council Meeting to voice our concerns, once again, about above-grounding electrical wires and towers in the Santa Ana riverbed.

🔥The currently planned above-ground Riverside Transmission Reliability Project (RTRP) has the potential to decimate Riverside neighborhoods and businesses with a fire similar to the recent Eaton Altadena/Pasadena fire.

🔥Given the recent fires during the Los Angeles high wind events, there is an even stronger argument for under-grounding through Riverside, Jurupa Valley and Norco!
SCE and Riverside Public Utilities plan to place 10 miles of ABOVE GROUND electrical transmission lines on ABOVE GROUND electrical towers along/in the Santa Ana Riverbed.

🔥Residents are required to maintain their properties in good condition at all times, as to alleviate the risk of wildfires. Residents are required to maintain their home’s defensible space as best possible, as to alleviate the risk of wildfires. Shouldn’t the same apply to the City of Riverside? Above Grounding the RTRP project is like one big CODE VIOLATION disaster, being ignored and waiting to explode!

🔥Please UNITE at the Riverside city council meeting on Tuesday, February 4th. Stand up, unite & inform the city council members that UNDER-GROUNDING is NOT just a “buzz-word.” Under-grounding is a real option for our safety. Under-grounding is the city councilmembers’ responsibility as the caretakers of the citizens and our beautiful city of Riverside. Under-grounding is possible, it is necessary and it is a proven defensible fire-prevention measure for this beautiful city we call home.

🔥We Need Your Voice! We Need Your Presence!
Please attend the city council meeting or call in.
ALL of Riverside must be made aware of this project and the potential damage to all of us and our beautiful city if it is built above-ground. Just because a plan has been approved, does not mean it is right. So now, it is time for all of us to fight for what is right-UNDER-GROUNDING RTRP!
